“We had a very good time at Chris’s cottage. The cottage is situated next to Chris’s main home who is very discreet. The cottage enjoys its own garden and it is absolutely independent from the rest of the property. There are lovely walks that you can take along the river which is literally a few yards away. The cottage was warm, recently renovated and very clean and Chris offered amazing home made scones when we arrived. We would surely come back!” Sarkis and Daphne, Edinburgh

“We found this place last minute. We were supposed to be staying in an apartment near to the Harbour for the Grand National weekend but was cancelled 8 days beforehand. I am so glad we were cancelled as this place is beautiful. The one storey house is immaculate and done to a high specification. The grounds are lovely and you have a view of the river. The owner Chris made us scones on arrival and also eggs from their chickens. He even gave us a lift to the racecourse on the Saturday for the Grand National. There are beautiful walks along the river bank and even though you are next to the owners house, you never see them. The house has its own entrance and private gardens. The village of Alloway is beautiful and you are within walking distance of the Brig O Doon pub if you fancy calling in for a meal and a drink. We will definitely return and stay here again. “New, purpose built, holiday home in a surprising and beautiful location. Susan and Chris are great hosts, offering all the help and attention you need, along with the freedom to roam their five acres with the river Doon running through it. The accommodation has plenty of parking. The contemporary interior is clean, practical and comfortable. Central heating, dishwasher and well equipped kitchen help with the comfort. Fast internet and Virgin TV. Patio doors to private garden space with a table and chairs overlooking the river.
